Collaborative Video Making Program 2023 Final Competition

A total of 12 students took part in the "Collaborative Video Making Program (CVMP) 2023." They are six students from Gifu University, one student from Nagoya University, one student from the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IITG, India), and four students from the National University of Malaysia (UKM, Malaysia).
They were divided into four groups and each group members worked closely for three months from August to create a video introducing their activities on SDGs^1. All students were given video-making instructions via smartphones from an Australian creative agency.

Before the final competition, the videos created by the four groups were made public to the visitors of the "Gifu University Festival 2023" held on Friday, November 3 and Saturday, November 4. More than 100 visitors voted for their favorite footage.

On Sunday, November 5, the CVMP 2023 Final Competition was held in which presentations were made by the four groups. The competition was conducted in a hybrid mode (zoom webinar and in-person meeting on campus), and 31 people, including CVMP staff and viewers attended the competition.

As special judges, Associate Director EBIHARA Akio of the Gifu University Organization for Promotion of Glocalization (GU-GLOCAL), Prof. Siddhartha Singha (from IITG), Prof. Siti Aishah Hasbullah (from UKM) and Ms. TAKEMURA (a documentary film and podcast producer) made their comments on each video clip.

At the end of the competition, scoring by the judges and voting by viewers took place. After reflecting the results of voting by the visitors to the university festival, the video created by Group 1 titled "Green Utopia," won the highest award.

Please enjoy the unique videos created by the four student groups by accessing the GU-GLOCAL Channel link.
We sincerely hope that the CVMP gives students a strong incentive to study abroad and raises their awareness of international affairs.
