Japanese Language and Culture Studies Course

Local Community Engagement Activities

Students in the Japanese Language and Culture Studies Course participate in local community engagement such as Gujo City Inbound tourism promotion (e.g. multilingual translation of brochures, participation in trial package tours) and human development activities (e.g. cross-cultural communication programs). (Contact: Meiho Office, Commerce and Tourism Department of Tourism Division, Mayor Official Room of Personnel Division, Gujo City, Coordinator: Sugi Interface. Co., Ltd.) They also participate a variety of cultural activities in cooperation with Gujo Hachiman International Friendship Association, GIFA.

Students who were in the other Japanese Language Courses (Japanese Society and Culture Program students, etc.) have also volunteered to take part in local events. Please refer to the “Center for Japanese Language and Culture Annual Report” (from AY2017) and “International Student Center Annual Report” (before AY2016) for further details.
