In the "Collaborative Video Making Program (CVMP) 2022," members of four groups which are made up of students from three universities, worked together to create videos for three months from December 2022. Students of these four groups are from Gifu University (nine students), Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IITG, India, four students), and Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM, Malaysia, one students). IITG and UKM are GU's Joint Degree Programs (JDP) partner universities overseas.
Under the instructions of professionals from a production agency in Australia (such as how to capture clear images, and so on, via smartphones), each group member worked very hard to produce attractive videos under the theme of "Thinking about SDGs."
On Friday, March 10, 2023, the CVMP Final Competition was held online where the four groups competed with one another over their video works. A total of 45 people including the special judges were closely watching the videos for evaluations. These special judges were; President YOSHIDA Kazuhiro, Professor KAMBARA Shinji, Vice President (International Affairs, Information and (Deputy in Charge for) Evaluation), Professor UEMATSU Yoshihiko, Executive Director of GU-GLOCAL from Gifu University, and Dr. IKEDA Junko, CEO of Mageleka Japan Co., Ltd.
After scoring by the judges and voting from the audience, the highest award went to Group 4's video titled "Trash Potential."
Please access the GU-GLOCAL Channel to see the videos. We sincerely hope that they can encourage and motivate students to increase their interests in international exchange and studying abroad in the future.
