On Wednesday, March 25, 2026, AY 2025 Awarding Ceremony for the International Joint Department of Food Science and Technology between Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IITG, India) and Gifu University (Joint Degree Program (JDP), master's program) was held as part of the Graduate School of Natural Science and Technology at Gifu University.
Gifu University, IITG, and the National University of Malaysia (UKM, Malaysia) jointly launched four international joint degree programs for master's and PhD students in April 2019. These three students are the sixth graduate cohort since the program's inception.
Professor NISHIZU Takahisa, Dean of the Graduate School of Natural Science and Technology, presented Ms. SHIMIZU Yurino with the Dean's Award and presented Ms. MISAWA Riko with the Alumni Association President's Award, in recognition of their academic excellence. Afterwards, Professor EBIHARA Akio, Department Head, awarded the Certificates of Completion to Ms. Shimizu, Ms. Misawa, and Ms. YABU Haruka.
Professor Ebihara praised their unwavering determination and consistent efforts in completing their research. He also expressed his best wishes for their future endeavors and great success in the next chapter of their lives.
