Collaborative Video Making Program 2024 Final Competition

In the Collaborative Video Making Program (CVMP), over a period of approximately four months starting from July, students from Gifu University (7 students), the Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IITG, 4 students), and the National University of Malaysia (UKM, 5 students) were divided into four groups to collaboratively produce videos. Each group created video works on the theme of 'Thinking about SDGs' while receiving guidance on smartphone video shooting techniques from a producer at an Australian creative agency.

On Thursday, December 12, 2024, the Final Competition, where students presented their videos, was held in a hybrid format via Zoom Webinar and at the presentation area on the first floor of the OKB Gifu University Plaza. A total of 37 people, including program participants and viewers, attended. Additionally, the videos were shown at the Joint Degree Program Symposium booth exhibition hosted by the Gifu University Organization for Promotion of Glocalization (GU-GLOCAL) on Friday, December 6. At the exhibition site, preliminary voting for the videos took place. Special judges included Vice President LIM Lee Wah, Executive Director KOYAMA Hiroyuki of GU-GLOCAL, Prof. Siti Aishah Hasbullah (from UKM), documentary filmmaker and podcast producer Ms. TAKEMURA, and Mr. MAE, the president of Plus Factory Inc., all of whom provided critiques of the video works.

At the end of the Final Competition, scoring by special judges and audience voting took place, and reflecting the results of the preliminary voting, Group 1's work 'Beat the Heat' was selected as the best work.

The videos produced in this program can be viewed on the GU-GLOCAL Channel. It is hoped that these video works will spark interest and curiosity about studying abroad among students from each university.
