First Batch of IITG Graduates Conferred the International Joint Degree of Master of Technology in Food Science and Technology

On Friday, July 16, 2021, the first graduates of Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati (IITG, India) were conferred the International Joint Degree of Master of Technology in Food Science and Technology. The International Joint Master’s Degree Program in Food Science and Technology between Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati and Gifu University is one of the four international joint degree programs established with IITG and the National University of Malaysia (UKM) in 2019.

The degree-awarding ceremony for four graduates was held online as part of IITG’s 23rd convocation ceremony. On behalf of Gifu University, President Hisataka Moriwaki sent his congratulatory message to praise the students’ strenuous efforts that resulted in the successful completion of the curriculum, passing of the Online Global Internship with Japanese companies, and acquiring of their hard-earned M. Tech degree. He also expressed his high expectations for their role as a bridge between Japan and India in the fields of businesses or trades in the near future.
