The Gifu University Organization for Promotion of Glocalization (GU-GLOCAL) organized the Study Abroad Fair Fall 2025. This annual event, launched in 2012, aims to provide essential information on language proficiency requirements and study abroad programs offered by Gifu University, as well as to promote overseas study opportunities.
The fair began with opening remarks by Professor TATSUMI Toru, Associate Division Head of the Study Abroad Promotion Division, GU-GLOCAL. Following this, staff from the Inbound and Outbound Student Affairs Office introduced Gifu University’s study abroad programs and support systems.
Next, students who participated in this year's short-term training programs shared presentations based on their experiences abroad. After a brief 10-minute intermission, additional presentations were delivered by students who studied overseas through exchange programs, short-term dispatch programs, and Tobitate! Ryugaku JAPAN (Leap for Tomorrow) of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology.
Through these presentations, participants learned how students gained confidence in using English, improved their problem-solving and communication skills, and even developed aspirations to work overseas in the future.
The Q&A sessions following each presentation reflected the high level of interest in studying abroad, with questions coming not only from attendees but also from students with prior overseas experience.
