Gifu Joint Degree Symposium 2021 Kicks Off!

Tokai National Higher Education and Research System (THERS) is currently implementing ten international degree programs. Of them, Gifu University launched four international joint degree programs (JDP, master's and doctoral) in April 2019. To accelerate further development of JDP, we have been hosting "Gifu Joint Degree Symposium" every year since 2019.

The 3rd symposium, "Gifu Joint Degree Symposium 2021" is scheduled on December 9 and 10 both on and offline under the theme, "Joint Degree Programs in New-Normal Era. "The symposium has the following three sessions: "THERS JDP Symposium," "Academic Session" and "Industry-Government-Academia-Banking Institution Collaboration Session."

In the THERS JDP Symposium, we have the honor of inviting Ms. Orie Kishimoto, Leader, International Strategy Team, Higher Education Bureau, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) of Japan as a guest speaker. The participants will be given an opportunity to listen to her thoughts about international degree programs such as their current state of implementations and future prospects through discussions with university representatives.
