The Gifu University Organization for Promotion of Glocalization (GU-GLOCAL) hosted the 'Overseas Study Fair 2024 in Autumn - Let's Expand the Circle of Study Abroad.' This fair has been held since 2012 with the aim of providing information on the language skills required for studying abroad, as well as information on study abroad programs at Gifu University, and promotion of study abroad.
The fair began with a greeting from Professor SHIMA Mutsuhiro, Division Head of the Study Abroad Promotion Division, GU-GLOCAL.
First, the staff members of the Inbound and Outbound Student Affairs Office provided an explanation of the university's study abroad programs and support systems. This was followed by presentations from students who participated in short-term English training programs last year and this year, sharing their study abroad experiences. After a 10-minute break, students who studied abroad through exchange programs and short-term outbound programs from various faculties gave their presentations. Through these programs, the students had grown, gained confidence in using English, increased their motivation to learn languages, and become aware of diverse values.
The participants listened attentively to the explanations from the staff and the experiences shared by the study abroad returnees. After the fair, many asked individual questions, demonstrating a high level of interest in studying abroad.
