On Saturday, July 17, 2021, the Gifu University Organization for Promotion of Glocalization (GU-GLOCAL) hosted an open workshop, "Business English Communication" on campus.

To further expedite the internationalization of local businesses and industries, the practical workshop was primarily designed to help a small group of working people from local companies in Gifu enhance their English communication skills in the workplace setting.

The workshop led by Specially Appointed Associate Professor Raymond Co from GU-GLOCAL included "Self-introduction in an official business scene," "Explaining his/her work assignments" and "Impressive sales pitches for company products/services," etc. all of which are crucial stepping stones for business persons who are required to speak English in their workplaces.

After the lecture, the participants expressed their appreciation to Professor Co for his very effective and engaging teaching approach as well as his useful advice for their English presentations.

GU-GLOCAL will continue to offer a wide range of events and activities for the benefit of our local communities.
