Two Consuls from the Consulate-General of the People’s Republic of China in Nagoya Paid a Courtesy call to GU

On Thursday, November 9, 2023, two consuls from the Consulate-General of the People's Republic of China in Nagoya paid a courtesy call to Gifu University (GU). They were Consul Guan Changkong and Consul Song Jingwen, both of whom are in charge of educational affairs.

Currently, GU has faculty and student exchange with ten Chinese partner universities based on university-level agreements. Including the students from the partner universities, over 100 Chinese students are studying at GU today.

Consul Guan and Consul Song met with the GU board members, including Vice President KAMBARA Shinji (International Affairs, Information and (Deputy in Charge for) Evaluation), Executive Director KOYAMA Hiroyuki of Gifu University Organization for Promotion of Glocalization (GU-GLOCAL), Associate Director SHIMA Mutsuhiro (GU-GLOCAL), and Director Li Fusheng of the River Basin Research Center. They discussed student exchange programs to be implemented between Japan and China in the future.

It is our strong hope that the two consuls' latest visit to GU will further accelerate student interactions between Japan and China in the days to come.
