Japanese Language and Culture Studies Course

Eligible Students

This 11-month course is designed to help undergraduate students of Japanese language and culture develop their Japanese language proficiency, and to provide basic knowledge about Japanese culture and research methodologies for their future study and research on the discipline. Japanese Government (MEXT) Scholarship for Japanese Studies applicants, embassy recommendation / university recommendation applicants, and privately-financed international exchange students from partner universities are accepted. Applicants are required to fulfill the following conditions:


1. those who are majoring in the Japanese language or Japanese culture at their home university;

2. those who have studied Japanese language and culture for a total of one year or more; and

3. those who have passed the N2 level Japanese Language Proficiency Test or equivalent.
