GUSH

From the wellspring of our university flows a fountain of knowledge, and as a budding ground for networks, we aspire to make Gifu a hub of wisdom and connection.

Approximately 300 international students from over 30 countries, primarily in Asia, come to study at Gifu University each year.
Scholarships provide a stable environment where we can focus on our studies.
I found a goal to introduce Japan's wonderful products to the world through my study abroad!
Why not support the young people who will carry the future?
Thanks to the scholarship, I gained the strength to move forward.
The study abroad experience is a lifelong treasure I will never forget.
The university, set in a nature-rich suburban campus, comprises five faculties, one school, and eight graduate schools, accommodating around 7,200 students.

With the concept of ‘connecting both local and global areas’, Gifu University Organization for Promotion of Glocalization (GU-GLOCAL) promotes the internationalization of the entire university and supports the internationalization efforts of the local community by utilizing the Gifu University Fund (International Exchange Support Project) as outlined below.

Speakers at the GU-GLOCAL Symposium

Messages to students who wish to take a step toward studying abroad

  • MOGI Kenichiro

    Neuroscientist

Young people, go everywhere. The world is wider than Japan. Your mind is wider than the world. Travel and learn. And let’s meet here again. I will be waiting for you!

  • SHIONO Makoto

    Partner at IGPI Group

Opportunities lie in the gaps—those overlooked, neglected, or dismissed by others.
By embracing what most do not, you define your distinct course, and it is this divergence that forges your unique identity.

  • INAMOTO Rei

    I&CO Founding Partner/Creative Director

As Japan faces the challenges of an aging population and declining birthrate, our future now lies beyond our borders.
With the incredible advancements in the internet, mobile technology, and AI, the barriers of language, borders, and innovation are rapidly fading away.
The world is your playground. See you on the global stage.

  • TAKEMURA Yukiko

    Podcast Producer/Documentary Filmmaker

Studying abroad in Florida opened doors for me to work in New York, drastically changing my life.
Meeting people from around the world, I learned to appreciate our differences and embrace the idea that being unique and yourself is perfectly okay. I sincerely hope everyone spreads their wings and explores the world.

  • ANNO Takahiro

    AI Engineer/Entrepreneur/SF Writer

The future belongs to those who dare to challenge themselves.
With AI advancing, opportunities to learn and collaborate across borders are growing faster than ever. Now is your chance to break free, step up, and make your mark on the global stage. I’m cheering for you—go make it happen!
